Guacamelee is a side-scrolling action game that combines the exploration of Metroid with the action of a good fighting game. Even better, it manages to do so with an incredible sense of humor. It’s a game that's absolutely filled with enough jokes and memes to make you look past its occasionally punishing difficulty.
